I have a dream to own a cabin in the woods someday. Until then, I make felt ornaments that look like the woods.
This is my second (2009) collection of ornament patterns and accompanying supplies designed to help you create three hand-stitched, hand-embroidered felt ornaments: a Cozy Cottage, a Snowy Tree, and a Little Deer.
Approximate finished sizes: Cozy Cottage: 6" x 5" (15cm x 12.5cm); Snowy Tree: 5" x 5" (12.5cm x 12.5cm); Little Deer: 5" x 6" (12.5cm x 15cm).
This kit contains:
- Stitching instructions for each ornament
- Illustrated embroidery tutorial
- Printed pattern templates
- 12 pieces of wool-blend felt in various sizes and colors to complete ornaments
- DMC embroidery floss to coordinate with felt
- 3 lengths rick-rack for hangers
- Beads and sequins for decoration
You will need:
- Wool batting or polyester fiberfill for stuffing
- Sharp embroidery needle
- Water-erase fabric marker
- Paper scissors and sharp fabric scissors
- Dressmaker's wax-free (chalk) tracing paper
- Fabric glue
- Tiny needles for stitching beads
